During the Ann Arbor Bridges Replacement Project, the city of Ann Arbor will close East Stadium Boulevard between Kipke Drive and South Industrial Highway to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for approximately one year beginning Nov. 28, 2011. The project will also require a temporary closures of the northbound lane of South State Street (April 30-July 11, 2012).

As East Stadium and South State are two primary thoroughfares around the U-M athletics campus, please review the information and detour map below and plan accordingly for attending Michigan home events.

  • EAST STADIUM BOULEVARD (Nov. 28, 2011 to Nov. 14, 2012)
East Stadium Boulevard will also be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic (from roughly Kipke Drive to South Industrial) beginning Nov. 28, 2011. Local access will be maintained from S. Main Street to Kipke and the U-M Golf Course, providing access to gameday parking lots around Michigan Stadium and Crisler Arena. All vehicles exiting any of the parking lots off Kipke Drive onto Stadium Blvd. must head westbound on Stadium toward Main Street. Please be prepared for potential delays in this area.

  • NORTHBOUND SOUTH STATE STREET (temporary closure from April 30-July 11, 2012)
The northbound lane of South State Street will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic (from roughly Stimson Street to Granger) from April 30-July 11, 2012. Detour signs will be posted. For home baseball, softball, and track and field events, please be prepared for delays in this area, particularly on exit from the lots on State Street surrounding Yost Ice Arena. We recommend parking in the lower Blue Lot near the railroad tracks (free of charge) in order to avoid these delays on State Street.

The following home events will occur during the temporary State Street closure:

    Tuesday, May 8 -- vs. Coastal Carolina, 7 p.m.
    Wednesday, May 9 -- vs. Coastal Carolina, 6:05 p.m.

    Friday, May 18 -- vs. Nebraska, 6:05 p.m.
    Saturday, May 19 -- vs. Nebraska, 1:05 p.m.
