U-M Athletics Parking Notice for Friday, Jan. 22, 2010

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- With a several events (ice hockey, indoor track and field, wrestling) concentrated around the Athletic Campus on Friday night (Jan. 22), fans are encouraged to park at Crisler Arena and Elbel Field as the availability of parking spots immediately surrounding Yost Ice Arena, Cliff Keen Arena and the U-M Indoor Track Building is limited.
Parking options include:
- Athletic Campus Parking Lot -- accessible from State Street just north of Yost Ice Arena or from Hoover Street just west of Revelli Hall. Parking is $5 and this lot fills up very quickly so parking is limited. Fans are encouraged to try and park at the other lots listed below.
- Crisler Arena (Lot SC7) -- enter the Crisler Arena Blue lot off Stadium Boulevard and head east to park near the railroad tracks. There is a pedestrian path that is a short walk over the railroad tracks that leads to the Athletic Campus by heading behind Oosterbaan Fieldhouse and the softball field. Parking is free.
- Elbel Field -- accessible off Hill Street. Park on the asphalt pad where the U-M band practices. Parking is free.

Friday night's competition includes the first day of the Simmons-Harvey Track and Field Invitational at 6 p.m. at the U-M Indoor Track Building, Michigan wrestling against No. 1-ranked Iowa at 7 p.m. in Cliff Keen Arena, and U-M ice hockey vs. No. 9 Ferris State at 8:05 p.m. in Yost Ice Arena.
