ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan Student-Athlete Advisory Committee announced today (Thursday, Jan. 24) the host and judging panel for Mock Rock 2013. Former U-M and NBA basketball player and current ESPN basketball analyst Jalen Rose will emcee the variety show fundraiser to be held Monday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. inside Hill Auditorium.
The celebrity judging panel includes a trio of former Wolverines who competed in the 2012 London Olympics: Betsey Armstrong, former U-M water polo standout and Olympic gold medalist; Tiffany and Jeff Porter, former U-M hurdlers and 2012 Olympians. Kaitlin Huff, a patient at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, will also serve on the panel.
Rose will join Dana Jacobson, Dhani Jones, and Desmond Howard as U-M alumni who have hosted Mock Rock.
Donation information is available on the Mock Rock website for individuals who cannot attend the event but wish to help Mock Rock reach its goal of $100,000 this year. Last year's event raised more than $90,000 for charity.
Tickets for Mock Rock are $30 for VIP seating and $15 for general admission and can be purchased online at mockrock.org or at the Michigan Athletic Ticket Office (1000 S.
