2009 Wheelchair Seating Ticket Application (PDF)

In 2008, The University of Michigan added a significant number of wheelchair and companion seating for our fans with mobility impairments, along with improvements in the accessibility of parking, restrooms and concessions and routes into the stadium.

In addition to the wheelchair seating and companion seats available in the north and south end zones, in the 2008 season, we added wheelchair accessible seating on the east sideline in sections 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, at row 54.

Our fan response to these improvements has been overwhelmingly positive.

The priority point donation requirement will be waived for those individuals who purchase season tickets for these new wheelchair accessible seats in the 2009 season. However, the regular preferred seating donation (PSD) and ticket price, along with a verification of need, will be applicable. Please refer to thePSD mapdepicting the Victors ($500 per season ticket), Valiant ($375 per season ticket), Maize ($250 per season ticket) and Blue ($125 per season ticket) tiers.

Season tickets for these seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis after applications have been accepted from current season ticket holders and waiting list members.

If you desire to purchase wheelchair accessible and companion seating season tickets on the east sideline or in the end zone, please complete and return the attached application with payment. If you have any questions, please contact Marty Bodnar, Associate Athletic Director, Ticketing & Marketing at 1-866-296-6849 or mtickets@umich.edu.

WHEELCHAIR TICKET POLICIES FOR MICHIGAN STADIUM FOOTBALL GAMES

The University of Michigan, strives to accommodate the individual needs of guests with disabilities and have adopted the following season ticket policies for persons with disabilities who use wheelchairs::

  1. Wheelchair Seating: Persons with disabilities who use wheelchairs and their companion will be permitted, subject to availability, to purchase adjacent seats in a manner which affords them full and equal accessibility. Persons with disabilities who use wheelchairs will be entitled to the same access to the ticket sales process as customers without disabilities.

  2. These patrons with disabilities and their companions shall be afforded a choice of seating locations from among the available wheelchair locations.

New inventory of wheelchair seating became available for the 2008 season on the east sideline at row 54. Season ticket applications for those seats are now being accepted at the Athletic Ticket Office. There will be no initial priority point donation requirement for persons who first purchase these seats in 2009. The regular ticket price and preferred seat donation will be applicable to the purchase of these seats. Season tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis after applications have been accepted from current season ticket holders and wait list members.

  3. Exchanges:When a ticket holder in a bench seating area of the stadium needs an accessible seat for a single game, whether bench tickets were purchased from the ticket office or otherwise acquired, a person must return the tickets to the Athletic Ticket Office by 5 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the game to exchange their tickets for a wheelchair and companion ticket.
