ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to order and maintain a Michigan football season ticket, a student must intend to register for enough credit hours to become at least a half-time student and maintain such registration for the entire Fall 2012 term. A half-time student is an undergraduate student registered for at least 6 credit hours or a graduate student registered for at least 4 credit hours.
PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY: The Ticket Office will check your registration status with the Registrar's Office. If you are not properly registered prior to the beginning of the season, your season ticket will be held until you provide us with proof of such registration. If you are not properly registered after the season begins, the Ticket Office will deactivate the bar code on your season tickets for the remaining games and no refund will be issued.
ORDERING: New incoming and transfer students may order a football season ticket in the amount of $195 plus a $10 service charge (includes six home games) beginning Wednesday, June 6 at 9:00 a.m. You may also order the Official 2012 Season T-shirt for $10. This discounted rate (retail is $15) is available only when purchasing your season ticket.
GROUP SEATING: New incoming and transfer students are seated in the same general area. You may also create or join a seating group to sit with other new students but are not required to do so. If you do not form a seating group, you will automatically be seated in the new student area. Groups cannot be created until applications are live on Wednesday, June 6, at 9:00 a.m. New students cannot be seated with continuing upperclassmen. Organize your group before ordering your ticket. Appoint one person to be the group leader, who will create the group name and password and send the information to other students. Group names must contain letters and numbers only, no special characters such as & ^ % $ #.
Most new graduate students are seated by program. Your seating group name and password have been provided by your graduate program, and you must join that group if you want to be seated with them. If you do not have this information, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your student id, name, and graduate school.
SEATING PRIORITY: As a new student, you will automatically be seated in the lowest priority group. Seating priority after your first season is determined by total number of credit hours. All seating among new students will be based on random selection. Student seating will begin with seniors at the bottom rows, and proceed in order by class with new students being placed at the top rows of the stadium.
DEADLINE: Wednesday, June 27 at 5:00pm. Do not wait until the last hours of the sale to check your application and order your ticket. All orders submitted after this date will be marked late. Such orders will be filled only if there are student tickets available. Students who file late are responsible for contacting the Ticket Office after August 1st to determine if their order was filled. Late orders will also lose seating priority.
SEATING LOCATION: The student section will begin at the aisle break in section 25 and will extend through section 33, if needed.
DISABILITY: The Athletic Department encourages persons with disabilities to attend Michigan football games. If you need to purchase a wheelchair accessible season ticket or have questions about the physical access provided, please call the Ticket Office at (866) 296-6849 (MTIX) prior to ordering tickets or attending a game.
MAILING: Football tickets will be mailed in August if you are enrolled for the Fall 2012 term. Be sure your application address is correct. If you are unsure of your summer address, choose the "will call" delivery option for your tickets to be held for pickup. Tickets will not be mailed to 48109 zip codes, unverified duplicate addresses, fraternity/sorority houses, or addresses outside of the US /Canada. These tickets will be held and must be picked up in person by the applicant with student ID. The post office has been instructed not to forward any tickets. Therefore, please update your address on mgoblue.com/tickets by signing in and updating your information under My Account by June 1, 2012. You may also fax or mail the change of address form to the Ticket Office by June 1, 2012. If you do not receive your tickets by August 27, 2012, please call (866) 296-6849 to check on the status of your order.
STUDENT ID: Your student ID must be presented with your ticket to enter Michigan Stadium. No one shall use the ID of another student. If you do not have your Mcard upon arriving at Michigan Stadium, you will be required to validate your ticket in order to gain entry. No exceptions.
NON-STUDENT USE: A student ticket may be used by a non-student if it is validated to the public price. The price of a validation sticker is the difference between the student price and the public price. Validations will begin in late August. Complete validation information and purchase locations will be available on mgoblue.com/ticketoffice in mid-August.
SCALPING: Scalping (selling a ticket above face value) violates University policy and Michigan law. Attempting to sell or solicit the sale of a ticket (even at face value) on campus without a permit also violates University policy. Therefore, a violation of these University policies or this Michigan law may result in your ineligibility to purchase football season tickets in the future even if criminal charges are not filed against you. The Athletic Department reserves the right to declare you ineligible to order football tickets if it receives sufficient evidence that a football ticket assigned to you was sold or was offered for sale at greater than the face value of the ticket.
NSF CHECKS: Returned checks will be assessed a $30.00 fee. If you do not honor your returned check promptly, your ticket order will be cancelled. You will be responsible for the $30 fee before you may purchase tickets to any Michigan sporting event.
REFUNDS: If you apply for a season ticket and later decide not to enroll for the Fall 2012 term, you may receive a full refund (less the service charge) provided you send a written request and return the tickets to the Ticket Office prior to August 27, 2012. No phone requests will be accepted. Additionally, there will be no refunds for students whose season tickets have been voided because the student is not properly registered.
MISCELLANEOUS: Only tickets purchased directly from the Ticket Office are guaranteed to be valid. Individuals admitted with invalid tickets will be ejected. Everyone must have a ticket regardless of age. The Ticket Office assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen or destroyed tickets, or tickets mailed from locations other than the Ticket Office.
