ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan Athletic Department and PNC Bank, in conjunction with IMG College, the university's multimedia rights partner, today (Monday, Aug. 20) announced a three-year agreement naming PNC Bank as the official bank sponsor of Michigan Athletics. The contract begins immediately and runs through June 30, 2015.
"We are excited to have PNC Bank join our corporate partner program in an expanded capacity and look forward to developing our relationship over the next three years," said Dave Brandon, the Donald R. Shepherd Director of Athletics. "PNC has been a valuable spring football game sponsor the past few years. We appreciate their increased sponsorship commitment to Michigan Athletics."
PNC Bank will become the presenting sponsor of the Inside Michigan Football television show on Fox Sports Detroit, building on its existing support of the Michigan Football Spring Game and the annual Mott Spring Game.
In addition, PNC Bank will have an advertising presence during the Inside Michigan Basketball show with John Beilein, and radio broadcasts of both football and men's basketball.
Under the terms of the agreement, PNC will be able to use Michigan's iconic "Block M" in advertising, marketing and promotional materials that will be prominent in the bank's signage at Crisler Center and Yost Ice Arena. To provide added convenience to customers and the university community, PNC Bank will install three ATMs at Michigan Stadium, two at Crisler Center and one at Yost Ice Arena.
"PNC continues to build on the relationships we have established at the University of Michigan," said PNC Regional President Ric DeVore. "Our expanded sponsorship with Michigan reflects our plans to continue growing in Ann Arbor and throughout the state, building our brand and supporting our community."
