Michigan Athletics H.A.I.L. Program
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan athletic department announced today (Thursday, Aug. 23) a new student rewards program, which will provide added benefits to Michigan students who regularly attend Wolverine sporting events.
Honoring Attendance, Involvement & Loyalty (H.A.I.L.) , presented by Flagstar Bank, is a free program for all students currently enrolled at University of Michigan designed to reward attendance and support of Michigan Athletics. Students enrolled in the H.A.I.L program will earn points for each event they attend and have the opportunity to collect rewards as they hit designated point thresholds.
"We wanted to develop a unique way to honor students for their unwaivering support of Michigan Athletics and we see the H.A.I.L program as a fun way to do that" said assistant director of marketing Angela Thick. "This program allows students to accumulate points throughout the year and have the chance to collect some great rewards along the way."
As members accumulate points during the year, they will have the opportunity to claim varying types of rewards. Rewards will include items such as officially licensed adidas gear, food discounts, cash prizes, a year's supply of Coke Zero, student season tickets, exclusive Michigan Athletics experiences, and more.
Students will have the opportunity to sign up for H.A.I.L. by downloading the free mobile app on their iPhone or Android device, or by visiting the H.A.I.L station at any home event. Members of the program will then "check in" to all home events that they attend using the mobile app or H.A.I.L station iPad, and will accumulate points based on meeting the required criteria. Students who check in will automatically earn two points for most events, with the exception of football, men's basketball and ice hockey. In order to earn the full two points for those three sports, members must check in at least 20 minutes before the scheduled start time or earn just one point for that event. Select events will also be chosen throughout the year as "Bonus Point" opportunities, allowing students to earn extra points for attending key games.
