Parking Update: U-M Driving Range

Due to construction of the golf practice facility, event parking at the U-M Driving Range will not be available for the remainder of the season, including the Nov. 20 football game vs. Wisconsin and the Dec. 11 Big Chill at the Big House ice hockey game between Michigan and Michigan State.

Traffic Update: Stadium Blvd. Bridges

Michigan Football Fans who use Stadium Blvd. as an entry or exit point into Ann Arbor on their trip to Michigan Stadium should be aware of an important change in traffic patterns. The Stadium Blvd. Bridge that extends over State St. has been narrowed to one lane each way due to structural concerns about the bridge span. This will impact and reduce vehicular flow both prior to and after the game. Fans should consider different points of road entry to the Michigan Stadium area in order to avoid the traffic congestion. The spans are checked and tested on a consistent basis and this shutdown could change dependent upon the results of those test. Please check back to this page for the most up-to-date information.

Parking Update: Golf Course

In order to create more parking opportunities around Michigan Stadium, the Athletic Department has created an additional parking area on the University of Michigan Golf Course. This area will be accessible off of Main Street and parking will be available on a weather permitting basis in the rough area between Holes 14, 15, and 16. This area is a short walk from Michigan Stadium and offers a fantastic tailgating opportunity for fans. Spots are first-come/first-serve and will be available beginning at 7am for a cost of $30.

Parking Update: Guests with a Disability

In the past, the athletic department used the Brown Lot (Varsity Tennis Center off of State St.) as an overflow area to park guests with a disability. Trolley shuttles were run from that location to/from the Golf Course clubhouse to allow guests who needed assistance to traverse the golf course.

Due to the increased parking on the golf course and the associated traffic/congestion issues that come with that additional parking, we will NO LONGER RUN TROLLEY SHUTTLES TO/FROM THE BROWN LOT. Instead we have created an area in the Grey Lot near the indoor track building that will be used to park guests with a disability. This area is closer to the stadium and will allow more spots for our guests with a disability.

Golf cart shuttles (including wheel chair accessible carts) will be run to/from that area to the stadium. Please see the Courtesy Shuttle Webpage for details on the shuttle service.
