ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan athletic department announced today (Tuesday, Sept. 18) plans to launch a "Maize Star Events" marketing campaign, in an effort to create "WOW" experiences for fans, coaches and student-athletes.
Over the course of the season, the department will select individual games as "Maize Star" contests. These events will feature an enhanced game-day experience for the fans and provide a unique environment for all involved.
Maize Star games will also include the presence of popular U-M groups such as the band, along with the Michigan cheer and dance squad. Students enrolled in the H.A.I.L. program will receive additional points for attending these signature events.
The first Maize Star event of the fall season will take place when the Michigan volleyball team takes on Indiana on Friday (Sept. 21) at Cliff Keen Arena. A complete schedule of events and more information on the program can be found at: Michigan Maize Star Events.

We're rolling out the "blue carpet," paparazzi cameras will be flashing, and we're inviting the Michigan Spirit Squads to help create a "WOW" experience, all we need is YOU! Here's what you need to know about the Michigan Volleyball Maize Star Event:
MAIZE OUT -- be sure to wear your finest Maize and get ready to shake those Maize pom-pons!
Michigan Band, Cheer and Dance Teams will be participating.
Blue carpet and fan photographers will be located outside South entrance doors (opposite from State St./Hoover intersection).
$5 hot dog and drink Maize Star concession special.
Students participating in H.A.I.L. student-loyalty program will earn 4 POINTS upon check-in.
U-M Student, faculty and staff admission is FREE with valid MCard while tickets are available.
