Wolverines to Host ITA Midwest Regional
10/10/2017 9:55:00 AM | Women's Tennis
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team will host the ITA Midwest Regional Championships presented by Oracle this week (Oct. 12-17) at the Varsity Tennis Center. The winners of each main draw (singles and doubles) will receive automatic berths to the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.
In a change from past years, the tournament will be held outdoors if weather allows since the national tournament is now an outdoor tournament. Fans are encouraged to follow Michigan tennis on twitter (@umichtennis) for the most up-to-date information on whether the matches will be indoors or outdoors.
Michigan is hosting the event for the fourth time in the past eight seasons after playing host in the fall of 2010, 2013 and 2015. U-M has swept the singles and doubles titles in three of the last four seasons at the event.
Admission to the event is free.
