Postgame Notes: #2 Penn State 42, #19 Michigan 13

• Tonight's game marked the first-ever primetime matchup in the 21st overall meeting between Michigan and Penn State. U-M holds a 13-8 advantage all-time and had a three-game series winning streak snapped this weekend.
• In the 11 games played in this series at Beaver Stadium, U-M has compiled a 6-5 record.
• U-M is 5-4 against Penn State when both teams are ranked in the AP Poll. The last time Penn State was this highly-ranked heading into a matchup with the Wolverines was 1997, when a No. 4-ranked Michigan team beat the No. 2-ranked Nittany Lions, 34-8.
• Tonight's contest was U-M's second night game of the season so far. U-M kicked off at night against Michigan State earlier this month (Oct. 7).
• The Maize and Blue offense converted two-of-two red zone possessions into points during the game (two touchdowns).
• Quarterback John O'Korn finished 16-of-28 passing for 166 yards. He distributed the ball to seven different pass-catchers.
• Running back Karan Higdon scored his fourth touchdown on the ground in the last two weeks, and his sixth of the season, with a one-yard plunge in the second quarter.
• Wide receiver Kekoa Crawford's 23-yard reception in the second quarter was his longest catch of the season since a 43-yard grab against Cincinnati in week two.
• Wide receiver Grant Perry has multiple receptions in six of seven games this year. He finished with three catches for 46 yards in today's game.
• Wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones recorded the first multi-reception game of his career, finishing with three catches for 43 yards.
• Tight end Sean McKeon registered his sixth multi-reception game of the season so far this year, finishing with three catches.
• Running back Ty Isaac's second-quarter touchdown run was his second of the season and the eighth of his career at U-M.
• Cornerback David Long recorded the first interception of his career during the first quarter, adding a 25-yard return. It marked the second breakup for Long this season.
• Cornerback Lavert Hill earned his ninth pass breakup of the season during the second quarter. Hill entered the game with six breakups and two interceptions overall.
• Linebacker Khaleke Hudson also registered a pass breakup, his fifth of the year.
• Defensive end Kwity Paye recorded his first career sack, a split sack with linebacker Mike McCray, during the third quarter of tonight's game.
• Defensive end Rashan Gary has at least 0.5 TFL in five of seven games so far this year.
• Freshman wide receiver Nico Collins made his career debut at in tonight's game.
• For the first time under Coach Jim Harbaugh, Michigan wore maize pants on the road with their white jersey. Michigan wore this combination on the road prior to switching to the all-white uniforms in 2015.
• Tonight's game also marked a single-game attendance record at Beaver Stadium. The crowd for tonight's game was measured at 110,823 people, breaking the previous stadium record set in 2002 against Nebraska.
