Evan White, Ross Todd and Luiz Gustavo Borges (Feb. 7)
Big Ten Swimmer of the Week -- Evan White, named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week for the second time in three weeks, was one of 13 different individual event winners in the team's 212-64 win over Michigan State last Friday (Feb. 2). He took first in the 100-yard IM (49.33), was second in the 100-yard breaststroke (54.42) and anchored the winning 400-yard medley relay.
Big Ten Diver of the Week -- Ross Todd claims his third Big Ten weekly honor of the season after winning three-meter (382.95) and taking second on one-meter (344.77) against Michigan State. Both performances are NCAA Zone Diving qualifying scores.
Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- It is the first career honor for Luiz Gustavo Borges. He collected his first collegiate win in the 100-yard freestyle (44.98) and swam a leg on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay.
Evan White (Jan. 24)
Big Ten Swimmer of the Week -- White had a huge meet against Ohio State and Virginia Tech (Jan. 20), winning a trio of events. He finished first in the 100-yard butterfly (47.07), 200-yard butterfly (1:45.11) and 200-yard individual medley (1:48.10) as the Wolverines defeated both the Buckeyes and the Hokies. All three times met the NCAA B standard. White has been on a tear in the second half of the season; he won one event and finished runner-up in two others in the team's previous dual meet against Indiana (Jan. 13).
Felix Auböck (Dec. 6)
Big Ten Swimmer of the Week -- Auböck, the reigning Big Ten Swimmer of the Year, claims his first weekly honor of the season after winning a trio of events at the UGA Fall Invite. He achieved an NCAA 'A' cut in the 500-yard freestyle (4:12.02), and NCAA 'B' cuts in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:33.69) and 1,650-yard freestyle (14:43.76). He also swam a leg on the 800-yard freestyle relay (6:21.66).
Ross Todd (Dec. 6)
Big Ten Diver of the Week -- Todd is Big Ten Diver of the Week for a first time this season, achieving NCAA Zone Diving qualifying scores in all three events at the UGA Fall Invite. He won three-meter (376.85), took second on platform (337.45) and fourth on one-meter (308.85).
Ricardo Vargas (Oct. 25)
Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Vargas, a 2016 Olympian from Cuernavaca, Mexico, is Big Ten Freshman of the Week after an impressive debut in Michigan's 230-119 win over then-No. 7 Louisville last weekend. He won the 1,000-yard freestyle (8:58.22), finished third in the 500-yard freestyle (4:24.08) and placed fifth in the 200-yard butterfly (1:50.72).
Jacob Montague (Oct. 4)
Big Ten Swimmer of the Week -- Montague kicked off his sophomore campaign with a bang with wins in three individual events against Oakland (Sept. 29): the 100-yard breaststroke (55.02, an NCAA "B" time), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:00.36) and the 200-yard individual medley (1:50.71).
Jake Herremans (Oct. 4)
Big Ten Diver of the Week -- Herremans had a career day against Oakland (Sept. 29), winning the one-meter (351.60) and finishing second on the three-meter (356.32). Both scores were personal bests and met the NCAA Zone Diving qualifying standard.Ross Todd (Oct. 4)
Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Todd, the Australian international, had an impressive diving debut with a three-meter win (369.15) and a third-place finish on the one-meter (327.67) against Oakland (Sept. 29). Both scores met the NCAA Zone Diving qualifying standard.
