• Michigan fell to 69-36-5 in the all-time series against Michigan State and 34-20-3 in series games at Michigan Stadium.

• Michigan's five turnovers are the program's most since recording six (one fumble, five interceptions) at Notre Dame on Sept. 22, 2012.
• The Wolverines recorded season lows with 300 total yards and 102 rushing yards against MSU. Michigan's 10 points are the program's fewest scored since its 10-9 win against Northwestern on Nov. 8, 2014.
• Fifth-year senior fullback Khalid Hill registered his first touchdown of the season -- and 11th rushing touchdown of his career -- on a one-yard rush in the third quarter.

• The U-M defense held MSU to 2-of-14 third-down conversions. Michigan, which entered the game ranked third nationally in third-down defense, has allowed the opposition to convert on just 18.3 percent of third-down opportunities (13-71) this season.
• Michigan's defense was held without a sack for the first time this season. The Wolverines averaged 4.5 sacks per game over the first four contests of the season.
• With his 30-yard field goal in the first quarter, sophomore kicker Quinn Nordin improved to 12-for-14 on attempts this season.
• Freshman punter Brad Robbins posted a career-high 298 yards on seven punts, including a career-long 57-yarder in the second quarter.
• The Wolverines had several honorary captains for today's game: Sue Burton, the widow of former assistant coach Tirrel Burton; Jerry Hanlon, former assistant coach for 21 seasons under Bo Schembechler; Gordie Bell, who played tailback for the Wolverines and was the Big Ten rushing champion in 1975; and Ed Muransky, who was an All-America tackle for Michigan in 1981 and a member of the Super Bowl XXVIII champion L.A. Raiders.
• Michigan also honored its 1997 national championship team during the first quarter, celebrating its 20th anniversary season.
