
Postgame Notes: No. 8 Ohio State 31, Michigan 20

• Today's announced attendance of 112,028 marks the 280th consecutive game at Michigan Stadium with a crowd in excess of 100,000.
• Michigan fell to 58-50-6 in the all-time series against Ohio State. The Buckeyes have claimed six straight series meetings and 13 of the last 14. Today marked the 100th consecutive playing of "The Game."
• Prior to kickoff, U-M recognized its 33 fourth- and fifth-year seniors in a Senior Day ceremony.
• Senior left tackle and offensive captain Mason Cole made his 50th consecutive start on the offensive line for the Wolverines today, tying him with Jon Jansen (1995-98) for most in program history among offensive linemen. Cole is just one start shy of tying Craig Roh (51, 2009-12) for the all-time program record.
• Defensive tackle Maurice Hurst (45 games played) and fullbacks Khalid Hill and Henry Poggi (43) are fifth-year seniors who also hit notable milestones competing in today's contest.
• Fifth-year senior fullback Khalid Hill posted his third touchdown of the season -- and 13th rushing touchdown of his career -- on a two-yard rush in the first quarter.
• Sophomore tight end Sean McKeon registered his third touchdown of the season -- all in the last four games -- on a three-yard reception early in the second quarter. McKeon extended his reception streak to nine games in this weekend's contest.
• Junior running back Karan Higdon recorded his 11th touchdown of the season -- 16th of his career -- on a two-yard rush in the third quarter.
• Sophomore wide receiver Kekoa Crawford matched his career long with a 43-yard reception in the third quarter. He also posted a 43-yarder against Cincinnati (Sept. 9).
• Junior tight end Zach Gentry has at least one reception of 25 yards or more in six contests this year, including a 27-yard grab in today's game.
• Ohio State was held to minus-six yards in the first quarter, marking the first full quarter in negative yardage for the Buckeyes since the 2010 season. The first play during each of OSU's first three possessions resulted in a Michigan tackle for loss. The Buckeyes lost a combined eight yards on those three plays.
• Sophomore defensive end Rashan Gary posted his first collegiate multi-sack game, registering a sack for a three-yard loss in the first quarter and another for a six-yard loss in the third. He upped his season sack total to 4.5 and career total to 5.5
• Senior defensive end Chase Winovich recorded 1.5 tackles for loss to up his season total to 17 and move to 11th among U-M's all-time leaders, tied with Victor Hobson (2002). Winovich posted his eighth sack of the season -- 13th of his career -- for a loss of five yards in the first quarter.
• Freshman wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones posted a 42-yard punt return at the end of the first quarter. It was the second longest of his career after his 79-yard return for a touchdown earlier this season against Air Force (Sept. 16).
• Today's honorary captains were alumnus Charles Woodson, the 1997 Heisman Trophy winner, and designer and alumnus Dao-Yi Chao, the creative director and co-founder of Public School New York (PSNY).
