• Today's announced attendance of 111,090 marks the 279th consecutive game at Michigan Stadium with a crowd in excess of 100,000.
• Michigan retained the oldest trophy in college football with today's victory, improving to 71-23-2 in 96 Little Brown Jug games. Overall, tonight's matchup marked the 103rd meeting between the two programs, with U-M improving to 75-25-3 all-time against Minnesota.
• Sophomore quarterback Brandon Peters made his first start in tonight's game. Peters finished the evening with 8-for-13 passing for 56 yards.
• Including last weekend's performance against Rutgers, Peters has now engineered the Michigan offense for 19 drives, resulting in nine touchdowns (one passing, eight rushing).
• With Karan Higdon (200 yards) and Chris Evans (191 yards) both going over 100 yards rushing one week after Higdon (158 yards) and Ty Isaac (109 yards) accomplished the feat against Rutgers. U-M has now had multiple backs record 100-yard rushing days in consecutive weeks for the first time since Oct. 11 (Michigan State), Oct. 18 (Northwestern) and Oct. 25 (Indiana) of the 1975 season.
• Karan Higdon recorded his second 200-yard game of the season (previously Oct. 14 at Indiana), becoming the first Michigan running back to record multiple 200-yard games in the same season since Mike Hart did it three times during the 2004 season (234 at Illinois; 224 vs. Michigan State; 206 at Purdue).
• With 20 first-half points, Michigan came one point shy of matching its highest-scoring first half of the year. U-M scored 21 in the opening two quarters against Rutgers last weekend (Oct. 28).
• After rushing for 334 yards against Rutgers, U-M pounded Minnesota to the tune of 371 yards on the ground tonight. It marks the fifth time in the past two seasons that U-M has run for 300 yards or more as a team.
• Freshman defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon earned his second career start -- and his second consecutive start -- in today's contest.
• Freshman Cesar Ruiz earned his first career start at right guard and contributed on special teams as part of the field-goal unit.
• Junior running back Karan Higdon posted his second career 200-yard rushing game and his second of the season. His performance included a career-long 77-yard touchdown run, the longest by any Michigan back so far this season.
• Sophomore running back Chris Evans had a career-high day, rushing for 191 yards. Evans had a career-long 67-yard run late in the third quarter and a 60-yard run for a touchdown late in the second quarter.
• U-M's first points of the evening came on a 20-yard touchdown pass to sophomore tight end Sean McKeon in the first quarter, the first touchdown of his Michigan career.
• After holding the Golden Gophers to 128 yards of total offense in the first half, the Michigan defense further tightened its grip in the second half, constricting the Minnesota offense to just 95 yards.
• With an eight-yard grab in the second quarter, wide receiver Nate Schoenle found his way into the boxscore for the first time since visiting Purdue (Sept. 23).
• Sophomore defensive back Khaleke Hudson recorded career highs in tackles (15), tackles-for-loss (8), sacks (2.0) and matched his career high in forced fumbles (one). Hudson's 8 tackles-for-loss broke the school record for a single game, set by Larry Foote, who recorded seven at Iowa in 2001.
