
Herremans Places Second on Tower to Wrap Minnesota Diving Invite

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Sophomore Jake Herremans of the No. 4-ranked University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team took second on platform with an NCAA Zone Diving qualifying score of 354.05 on the final day of the Minnesota Diving Invite, held Saturday (Nov. 11) at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.
Saturday's performance capped off a fantastic week for Herremans, who also took fifth on one-meter (298.65) and seventh on three-meter (313.05).
Freshman Chris Canning was also solid with three top-10 finishes. He was eighth on three-meter (308.45) and 10th on both one-meter (286.30) and platform (297.00).
The other diver in action was Steven Anderson, who was 12th on one-meter (271.25), 14th on platform (270.65) and 18th on three-meter (270.45).
The Wolverines are back in action for the UGA Fall Invite, held Dec. 1-3 in Athens, Georgia. Preliminaries are slated to begin at 9:30 a.m., with finals following at 5 p.m.
