Senior captain CF Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .444 (4-for-9), was 2-for-3 with a pair of walks and an eighth-inning double to extend his team-leading hitting streak to 10 games. He has hits in 21 of his last 23 games.
Biondi reached base four times with a double, a single and two walks after reaching all five times Saturday with a single, a walk and a fielder's choice, and he was hit by pitches twice. He reached base 10 times in the three-game series.
Freshman LHP Evan Hill (0-0, 1.29 ERA) pitched seven innings, allowing five hits and one run in his Wolverine debut. Hill fanned three and walked one batter in his no-decision start.
Junior RF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .462 (6-for-13), was 1-for-5 with a first-inning single to extend his hitting streak to seven games including the final four games of 2012.
Freshman 3B Travis Maezes, who is hitting .364 (4-for-11), was 1-for-3 with an intentional walk as he extended his hitting streak to all three games of 2013 with a leadoff double in the sixth inning. The double was the first extra-base hit as a Wolverine for Maezes.
Freshman 2B/RHP Jacob Cronenworth, who is hitting .250 (3-for-12), was 1-for-4, and his fourth-inning single extended his hitting streak to three games.
Freshman 1B Jack Sexton, who is hitting .154 (2-for-13), extended his hitting streak to two games with a second-inning single.
