• Michigan has an 18-7 record in college baseball games played at the New York Mets spring training complex. U-M first played at the Mets complex in 2004 and is 4-0 vs. Fordham at the site, with the first three wins in 2010.

• Today's win is the first for first-year head coach Erik Bakich at U-M.

• Senior captain CF Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .462 (6-for-13), was 2-for-4 with two runs batted in and two runs scored.

• Biondi's first-inning bunt single extended his team-leading hitting streak to 11 games. He has hits in 22 of his last 24 games.

• Biondi reached base three times, and he has reached base 13 times in four games this season.

• Biondi scored two runs to push his career total to 153, snapping his tie for 12th place on U-M's career runs scored list. Nate Recknagel (156 runs, 2006-08) is 11th.

• Biondi has 59 career multi-hit games and 153 runs scored in 171 games in his career as a Wolverine.

• Biondi led off the U-M first inning with a single. He reached second on Michael O'Neill's single, and he advanced to third base on a wild pitch. Biondi scored on a Jacob Cronenworth sac fly. Biondi has scored in the first inning as Michigan's leadoff batter 44 times in his Wolverine career (21 times in 2010, 12 times in 2011, 10 times in 2012 and once so far in 2012).

• Junior RF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .444 (8-for-18), was 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI.

• O'Neill's first-inning single extended his hitting streak to eight games, including the final four games of 2012. O'Neill has nine career homers as a Wolverine.

• O'Neill, who has had 16 multi-hit games in each of his first two seasons at Michigan, has three this season and 35 career multi-hit games in 99 games.

• Sophomore RHP James Bourque (1-0, 3.09 ERA) worked 5.2 innings, allowing six hits and one earned run, and he matched his career-best effort with four strikeouts. Bourque has three wins in his U-M career.

• Sophomore DH Kyle Jusick, who is hitting .200 (1-for-5), was 1-for-4 as he collected his first hit as a Wolverine with a fourth-inning triple while making his first career start. Jusick snapped a 1-1 tie as he scored the game-winning run on a passed ball in the fourth inning.

• Freshman 3B Travis Maezes, who is hitting .333 (5-for-15), was 1-for-4 with three stolen bases as he extended his hitting streak to all four games of 2013 with a leadoff single in the seventh inning.

• Maezes leads the Wolverines with five stolen bases.

• Freshman 2B/RHP Jacob Cronenworth, who is hitting .214 (3-for-14), was 0-for-2 with a pair of sac flies, as his hitting streak was snapped at three games.
