• Senior captain CF Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .385 (15-for-39), was 2-for-4 with two singles.

• Biondi's single in the first inning extended his team-leading hitting streak to 17 games. He has hits in 28 of his last 30 games.

• Biondi scored one run, giving him 10 for the season to push his career total to 159 runs scored. Biondi is 11th on U-M's career runs scored list -- two shy of Eric Rose (161 runs scored, 2004-07) in 10th place.

• Biondi, who has four multi-hit games this season, has 61 for his U-M career.

• Biondi led off the U-M first inning with a single, moved to third base on Michael O'Neill's double and scored on an infield grounder by 2B Jacob Cronenworth. Biondi has scored in the first inning as Michigan's leadoff batter 47 times in his Wolverine career (21 times in 2010, 12 times in 2011, 10 times in 2012 and four times so far in 2012).

• Junior RF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .447 (21-for-47) to lead the team, was 2-for-3 with a double, a hit by pitch and his team-leading seventh stolen base.

• O'Neill's first-inning double extended his hitting streak to 14 games, including the final four games of 2012.

• O'Neill has eight multi-hit games this season and 40 career multiple-hit games.

• Sophomore LF/DH Kevin White, who is hitting .333 (12-for-36), was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and two runs scored.

• White has four multi-hit games this season and 11 in his 48 games as a Wolverine. White leads the team with three triples this season.

• Sophomore LHP Trent Szkutnik (1-2, 6.94 ERA) pitched a season-high seven innings, allowing five hits and two runs, both earned, in his first win of the season. Szkutnik has three career wins as a Wolverine.

• Senior RHP Kyle Clark (0-0, 0.00 ERA, two save) worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning with two strikeouts to collect his second career save. Clark earned both of his saves this weekend, and in his last three appearances he has retired 10 consecutive batters with eight strikeouts.

• Freshman 2B/RHP Jacob Cronenworth, who is hitting .316 (12-for-38), was 2-for-4 with his first career stolen base and one RBI as he extended his personal season-best hitting streak to five games.

• Cronenworth, who has three multi-hit games this season, collected his first game-winning RBI as a Wolverine with his first-inning ground out, providing U-M with a 1-0 lead.
