• Michigan, with back-to-back wins for the first time this season, is 5-12 for the first time since 2002.

• Freshman RF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .377 (26-for-69), was 1-for-4 with a fourth-inning single that extended his team-leading hitting streak to 17 games. O'Neill has at least one hit in every game in his U-M career.

• Junior/sophomore LHP Bobby Brosnahan (1-4, 7.56 ERA) pitched 7.1 innings, allowing five hits and one run to earn his first win of the season. Brosnahan (6-8) has six career wins as a Wolverine.

• Freshman RHP/OF Alex Lakatos (0-1, 7.84 ERA, one save) retired all five batters he faced with two strikeouts to notch his first save as a Wolverine.

• Sophomore SS Derek Dennis, who is hitting .302 (19-for-63), was 2-for-4 with a double. Dennis has six multi-hit games in 2011 and 19 career multi-hit games.

• Junior 3B John Lorenz, who is hitting .279 (19-for-68) for the season, was 1-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to five games. He has hits in 14 of the 16 games he has had an at-bat in and he has hits in 28 of his last 30 games over the past two seasons.

• Sophomore CF Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .306 (22-for-72), was 1-for-4 with a run-scoring single.

• Junior/sophomore LF Kevin Krantz was 0-for-3, but his run-scoring ground out in the seventh inning snapped a 1-1 tie and proved to be his first career game-winning run batted in as a Wolverine.
