Senior catcher/1B/DH Coley Crank, who is hitting .213 (23-for-108), was 3-for-5 with a solo homer, a three-run single and two walks. It was Crank's fourth multi-hit game of the season.
Crank has 42 career multi-hit games and he has 12 three-hit games. Crank leads the Wolverines with seven home runs and 26 RBI this season. He has 134 RBI in 176 games in his U-M career.
Crank, with 30 homers, has pulled into a tie for sixth place on Michigan's all-time home run list with Bryan Besco (30 homers, 1995-99), Mike Cervenak (30, 1996-99) and Chris Sabo (30, 1981-83). Crank is two homers shy of a tie for fifth place with Jim Paciorek (32 homers, 1979-82).
Sophomore 1B Brett Winger, who is hitting .278 (30-for-108), was 3-for-5 for his seventh multi-hit game of the season and his 11th career multi-hit game. It was Winger's first three-hit game as a Wolverine.
Freshman OF/DH Zach Zott, who is hitting .216 (8-for-37), was 1-for-3 with a three-run triple and two walks. The triple was Zott's first career extra-base hit as a Wolverine.
Freshman RHP Matt Ogden (1-2, 3.52 ERA, three saves) pitched five innings, allowing two runs with four strikeouts pitching from the seventh through the 11th inning in a non-decision effort. Ogden has 16 strikeouts in 23 innings this season.
Freshman LF Will Drake, who is hitting .331 (41-for-124), was 1-for-6 with an eighth-inning RBI single as he extended his current hitting streak to six games.
