• Senior captain CF Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .333 (40-for-120), was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and a run scored. Biondi has 13 multi-hit games this season and 70 in his U-M career.

• Biondi scored one run, giving him 28 runs scored in 2013 to push his career total to 177 runs to snap his tie with tie Ken Hayward (176 runs scored, 1982-85) for second place on U-M's career runs scored list. The record is 190 runs scored by Casey Close (1983-86).

• Biondi led off the U-M first inning with a single and he reached second on a single by Michael O'Neill and third after tagging up on a fly ball. He scored on a single by Jacob Cronenworth to tie the game at 1-1. Biondi has scored in the first inning as Michigan's leadoff batter 51 times in his Wolverine career (21 times in 2010, 12 times in 2011, 10 times in 2012 and eight times so far in 2013).

• Junior OF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .350 (63-for-180), was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles, and he scored the game-winning run on a throwing error in the first inning.

• O'Neill leads the team with a career-best 22 multi-hit games in 2013 and he has 54 career multiple-hit games.

• O'Neill, who has a five-game hitting streak, has hits in 35 of the 43 games this season and in 39 of his last 47 games in the past two seasons.

• Sophomore 2B Eric Jacobson, who is hitting .194 (6-for-31), was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles. It was Jacobson's first multi-hit game of the season and the third multi-hit game of his U-M career.

• Freshman SS Travis Maezes, who is hitting .291 (48-for-165), was 1-for-3 with his team-leading third home run of the season. Maezes, who scored a run and drove in two runs in the win, leads the Wolverine in Big Ten play with a .393 batting average (24-for-61).

• Freshman 3B/RHP Jacob Cronenworth, who is hitting .314 (49-for-156), was 1-for-4 with a run scored, one RBI and his 10th stolen base of the season. Cronenworth pushed his team-leading RBI total to 30.

• Sophomore RHP Matt Ogden (5-0, 2.77 ERA, two saves) allowed two hits with two strikeouts in 2.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen as he recorded his second save of the season. Ogden has six career saves as a Wolverine.

• Sophomore LHP Trent Szkutnik (4-6, 4.43 ERA) pitched 5.2 innings, allowing five hits and two runs/one earned run as he earned his fourth win of the season. Szkutnik, who leads U-M with 52 strikeouts in 61.0 innings pitched this season, had six strikeouts.
