Freshman SS Travis Maezes, who is hitting .316 (61-for-193), was 3-for-5 with a double, two singles, two stolen bases, two runs scored and one RBI. He extended his personal season-best hitting streak to six games. He is third on the team with 15 stolen bases.
Maezes, who is hitting .413 (33-for-80) in Big Ten play to lead the Wolverines, ranks second on the team in overall action with 34 RBI. He has 10 multi-hit games in Big Ten action to lead the Wolverines in 2013.
Maezes, who leads the team with six three-hit games, is second on the team with 17 multi-hit games.
Junior OF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .351 (73-for-208) to lead the team, was 2-for-5 with a homer, three runs scored, three RBI and two stolen bases. The home run was O'Neill's 10th career home run.
O'Neill leads the team with a personal-best 26 multi-hit games in 2013, and he has 58 career multiple-hit games.
O'Neill has hits in 40 of the 49 games this season and in 44 of his last 53 games in the past two seasons.
With O'Neill's two stolen bases, he has four in the series and a team-leading total of 22 stolen bases for the season. His career total is 71, which ranks fourth on U-M's career stolen base list -- three behind Jim Durham (74 steals, 1986-89) in third place.
Sophomore 1B/DH Kyle Jusick, who is hitting .273 (27-for-99), was 2-for-4 with a double, a single, one run scored and one RBI. Jusick, who is 4-for-8 (.500) in the series vs. Purdue, has seven multi-hit games in 2013.
Sophomore RHP Matt Ogden (7-1, 2.72 ERA, two saves) pitched 2.1 innings, allowing one run on four hits with four strikeouts to earn his second win of the weekend and his seventh win of the season. Ogden shares the team lead in wins (7) with freshman LHP Evan Hill.
Ogden, who has 10 wins in his U-M career, is 4-1 with a team-leading 1.61 ERA in Big Ten play in 2013.
