• Sophomore DH Coley Crank, who is hitting .344 (62-for-180), was 4-for-5 with two home runs and five runs batted in. It was Crank's third four-hit game of the season and his 20th multi-hit game of the campaign. Crank leads the team in homers (9) and RBI (51).

• Crank's two-homer game was the first for a Wolverine since Mike Dufek had two at Western Michigan last week (May 4).

• Senior/junior 2B Anthony Toth, who is hitting .293 (55-for-188), was 3-for-4 with a double for his fifth three-hit game and his 16th multi-hit game of the year. He has 35 career multiple-hit games.

• Sophomore 3B John Lorenz, who is hitting .273 (42-for-154), was 3-for-5 with two doubles and a triple. Lorenz, who has a four-game hitting streak, has 14 multi-hit games for the season and 20 multi-hit games for his career.

• Freshman OF Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .319 (60-for-188), was 0-for-3 with two walks and a stolen base. Biondi collected his 27th stolen base of the season in the first inning, pulling him into a tie for fifth place on U-M's single-season stolen base list with Steve Finken (1986-88), who had 27 steals in 1987. Fourth on the list is Chris Getz with 29 steals in 2005.
