Junior co-captain CF Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .309 (63-for-204), was 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Biondi has two homers this season and four in his U-M career.
Biondi, who had four hits in the series, has a three-game hitting streak and he has hits in 14 of his last 16 games.
Freshman SS Dylan Delaney, who is hitting .194 (35-for-180), was 1-for-4 with a run-scoring double in the fourth inning. Delaney's double, his fifth of the season, snapped a 2-2 tie and proved to be his second game-winning RBI of the season and his U-M career.
Senior DH Coley Crank, who is hitting .257 (46-for-179), was 1-for-4 with a run-scoring single that gave U-M a 2-1 lead in the third inning.
Crank, who leads the team with 43 RBI, has 151 career RBI in 197 games. Crank ranks ninth in career RBI at U-M, two behind Jason Alcaraz (153, 1996-99) in eighth place.
Junior RHP Ben Ballantine (2-3, 4.10 ERA) allowed three runs, one earned, on seven hits with two strikeouts as he pitched six innings as the starting pitcher to earn the win. The win is the fifth in Ballantine's U-M career.
Ballantine leads the U-M pitching staff in starts (14) and he is second in innings pitched (68) and strikeouts (40). His 4.10 ERA is third among U-M starters with seven or more starts.
Senior/junior LHP Bobby Brosnahan (3-3; 3.25 ERA, one save) pitched three scoreless innings, allowing two hits while earning his first career save.
Sophomore RF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .320 (47-for-147), was 0-for-3 with a walk, a hit-by-pitch, a stolen base and a run scored.
O'Neill ranks second on the team with 18 stolen bases this season and he ranks seventh on the U-M career steals list with 48 in 90 games. O'Neill is four stolen bases behind Rodney Goble (52 steals, 1992-95) in sixth place.
Sophomore 1B Brett Winger, who is hitting .288 (53-for-184), was 1-for-4 with a double. The two-bagger is Winger's seventh of the season and the 10th of his U-M career.
Freshman C Kevin White, who is hitting .223 (21-for-94), was 1-for-3 and he scored the winning run while making his first career start at catcher. White has hits in 11 of his last 13 games.
Freshman OF Zach Zott, who is hitting .198 (16-for-81), was 1-for-4 with a run scored. Zott singled in the fourth inning and scored the fourth Wolverine runa.
