Junior OF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .361 (78-for-216) to lead the team, was 3-for-4 with a solo homer, a double and a single with a run scored and one RBI. O'Neill extended his current hitting streak to five games with his first-inning single. The homer is O'Neill's 11th career round-tripper.
O'Neill is hitting .306 (26-for-85) in Big Ten play to rank second on the team behind freshman SS Travis Maezes at .398 (33-for-83).
O'Neill leads the team with a personal-best 28 multi-hit games in 2013, and he has 60 career multiple-hit games. He has six three-hit games in 2013 and 13 in his U-M career.
O'Neill has hits in 42 of the 51 games this season and in 46 of his last 55 games in the past two seasons.
O'Neill collected his team-leading 17th double of the season in the eighth inning, pushing his career total to 37 doubles and 198 hits in 146 career games as a Wolverine.
Sophomore RF Kyle Jusick, who is hitting .280 (30-for-107), was 2-for-4 with a pair of run-scoring singles. Jusick, who extended his personal season-best hitting streak to four games with his second-inning single, has eight multi-hit games in 2013.
Sophomore OF/DH Kevin White, who is hitting .271 (38-for-140), was 1-for-4 with his 11th double of the season in the ninth inning, extending his season-best hitting streak to six games.
