• Sophomore 1B Brett Winger, who is hitting .297 (57-for-192), was 2-for-4 with one RBI to extend his hitting streak to four games. Winger has 16 multi-hit games this season and 20 in 79 games in his U-M career.

• Sophomore RF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .329 (51-for-155), was 2-for-3 with two singles, a walk, a stolen base and a run scored. O'Neill has 16 multi-hit games this season and he has 32 career multi-hit games in 93 games.

• O'Neill ranks second on the team with 19 stolen bases this season and he ranks seventh on the U-M career steals list with 49 in 93 games. O'Neill is three stolen bases behind Rodney Goble (52 steals, 1992-95) in sixth place on the career list.

• Junior co-captain CF Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .305 (65-for-213), was 1-for-4 with a first-inning single to extend his hitting streak to five games. He has hits in 16 of his last 18 games.

• Biondi, who leads the Wolverines with 32 stolen bases, collected career steal 88 T. Biondi ranks second on U-M's career stolen base list, just two shy of the U-M record of 90 stolen bases held by CF Eric Rose (2004-07).

• Biondi's 32 stolen bases tie Eric Rose (32 stolen bases, 2006) for Michigan's third-best single-season total. Rose also has the second-best U-M season total of 34 steals in 2007.

• Biondi led off the U-M first inning with a single, stole second, advanced to third base on a wild pitch and scored on Coley Crank's sac fly. Biondi has scored in the first inning as Michigan's leadoff batter 43 times in his Wolverine career (21 times in 2010, 12 times in 2011 and 10 times so far in 2012).

• Senior catcher Coley Crank, who is hitting .250 (46-for-184), was 0-for-3 with a first-inning sac fly that tied the score at 1-1.

• Crank, who leads the team with 44 RBI, has 152 career RBI in 199 games. Crank ranks ninth in career RBI at U-M, one behind Jason Alcaraz (153, 1996-99) in eighth place.

• Freshman LF/C Kevin White, who is hitting .233 (24-for-103), was 1-for-4 with a fifth-inning single. White has hits in 13 of his last 15 games.
