Senior captain CF Patrick Biondi, who is hitting .307 (47-for-153), was 2-for-4 with a double, a single, a walk and a run scored. Biondi is 5-for-9 (.556) in the series vs. Nebraska.
Biondi, who has eight doubles in 2013 and 37 career double in 214 games as a Wolverine, has 15 multi-hit games this season and 72 in his U-M career.
Biondi scored one run, giving him 36 runs scored in 2013 to push his career total to 185 runs to rank second on U-M's career runs scored list. The record is 190 runs scored by Casey Close (1983-86).
Junior OF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .357 (80-for-224) to lead the team, was 1-for-4 with a grand slam homer and four RBI.
O'Neill's home run is the 200th hit of his Wolverine career in 158 games.
O'Neill extended his current hitting streak to seven games with his eighth-inning homer. The homer is O'Neill's 13th career round-tripper, and he leads the team with five homers in 2013. He has home runs in three consecutive games and four homers in the past five games with one each vs. Purdue and Seton Hall and two at Nebraska.
O'Neill's grand slam home run was the first for a Wolverine since Mike Dufek hit one in a 9-8 win at Western Michigan on May 4, 2010.
O'Neill has hits in 44 of the 53 games this season and in 48 of his last 57 games in the past two seasons.
Sophomore LF Zach Zott, who is hitting .288 (44-for-153), was 1-for-4 with a single, a run scored and a stolen base. Zott is second on the team with 18 stolen bases in 2013.
Junior catcher Cole Martin, who is hitting .241 (42-for-174), was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and a run scored. Martin has 13 multi-hit games in overall action in 2013, and he has 18 career multi-hit games as a Wolverine.
