• Senior co-captain 3B John Lorenz, who closed out 2012 hitting .245 (52-for-212), was 2-for-5 with a two-run triple and a run scored.

• Lorenz had 13 multi-hit games as a senior this season and finished his career with 50 multi-hit games in 215 games.

• Sophomore RF Michael O'Neill, who led U-M in hitting for 2012 at .327 (53-for-162), was 1-for-3 with his team-leading 12th double of the season. O'Neill has 20 career doubles in 95 games.

• Junior co-captain CF Patrick Biondi, who finished the season hitting .303 (67-for-221), was 1-for-5 with a seventh-inning single to extend his hitting streak to seven games. He had hits in 18 of his last 20 games to close out the 2012 season.

• Biondi, who hit .303 (30-for-99) in Big Ten play, led the team in hits (67), runs scored (44), stolen bases (32) and multi-hit games (18).

• Sophomore 1B Brett Winger, who finished the season hitting .295 (59-for-200), was 1-for-4 with a double as he extended his hitting streak to six games to close out the season.

• Winger, who led the Wolverines in Big Ten hitting at .326 (30-for-92), finished third on the team in overall action with 10 doubles and has 13 doubles in 81 games in his U-M career.

• Freshman LF/C Kevin White, who finished the season hitting .239 (26-for-109), was 1-for-3 with an eighth-inning single and a walk. White ended the season with a five-game hitting streak and hits in 15 of his last 17 games.
