• U-M is now 4-2 in extra-inning games. U-M has a 5-3, 10-inning win at Notre Dame on May 4; a 6-5, 10-inning win at Purdue on April 10; and a 4-3, 12-inning win over Alma on March 18. The two losses came in a doubleheader at Ohio State on April 30.

• Freshman RF Michael O'Neill, who is hitting .305 (65-for-213), was 4-for-6 with four singles, three runs scored and two stolen bases. O'Neill has hits in 43 of his 53 games this season.

• O'Neill, who leads the team with 30 stolen bases, tied and later broke the U-M rookie record for steals in a season that had been set by teammate Patrick Biondi (29, 2010) last season.

• O'Neill is second on the team with 15 multi-hit games this season, including 11 two-hit games. He has three four-hit games to lead the team.

• Junior 3B John Lorenz, who is hitting .230 (45-for-196) for the season, was 1-for-4 with two walks and his 11th-inning single snapped a 4-4 tie and proved to be his second game-winning run batted in of the season. Lorenz has five career 'gamers.'

• Junior LF/catcher/DH Coley Crank, who is hitting .262 (50-for-191), was 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a walk. Crank leads the team with 33 RBI this season, pushing his career total to 108 as a Wolverine.

• Crank has 11 multi-hit games this season and 37 multi-hit games for his Michigan career.

• Crank has hits in 25 of his last 34 games and nearly half his 50 hits have been for extra bases (24), including 16 doubles, one triple and seven homers.

• Crank leads the team with 16 doubles this season, giving him 35 career doubles.

• Crank is leading the Wolverines with a .317 (26-for-82) average in Big Ten play with eight doubles, two homers and 13 RBI.

• Sophomore RHP Ben Ballantine (3-1, 4.98 ERA, one save) worked two scoreless innings, retiring all six batters he faced as he recorded his team-leading third win of the season.

• Freshman 1B Brett Winger, who is hitting .277 (18-for-65), was 1-for-5 with a two-out, two-run single that gave U-M a 4-2 lead in the fifth inning. Winger extended his Big Ten hitting streak to 10 games and he has hits in 10 of his last 11 overall games.
