CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Michigan baseball team will play Northwestern on Saturday, April 20, in Wrigley Field, the home of the Chicago Cubs, at a time to be determined, the Northwestern University athletic department announced today (Tuesday, Feb. 5).
The game will be part of the three-game Big Ten series against the Wildcats. Friday and Sunday's games (April 19 and 21) will be played at Rocky Miller Park on Northwestern's campus at 3 p.m. and 1 p.m. CDT, respectively. The announcement was made today by Northwestern Athletics and the Chicago Cubs that includes NU women's lacrosse and football games to be played at Wrigley Field.
Michigan will be playing in two Major League parks and two Minor League parks during the regular season. In addition to the Northwestern game at Wrigley, U-M faces Yale at Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets, on Tuesday, March 26, at noon. The Wolverines face the New York Mets in an exhibition game on Sunday, Feb. 24, at noon inside Digital Domain Park, Spring Training home of the New York Mets and home of the High-A St. Lucie Mets. The Maize and Blue also plays in the Coastal Carolina Tournament March 15-17 at TicketReturn.com Field, home of the High-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Also, the Big Ten Tournament will be held at Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins, on May 22-26.
Michigan opens its 2013 season on Friday, Feb. 15, at California. First pitch is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. PST in Berkeley, Calif.
