ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Due to weather and field conditions at its home facility, the University of Michigan baseball team's weekend series against Western Illinois has been moved to Nicolay Field on the campus of Adrian College in Adrian, Mich. Nicolay Field has a synthetic turf surface.
The first game will be held Friday (March 22) at 11 a.m., and a doubleheader will follow Saturday (March 23) at 11 a.m. For Saturday's games, the opener will be a seven-inning affair unless extra innings are necessary. The second game will be nine innings, unless game one goes to extra innings.
Admission will be free. Fans who purchased a ticket to any of the Michigan vs. Western Illinois games may use that ticket for admission to any future Michigan baseball home game this season with the exception of the Michigan State game (April 6). Tickets will be accepted at the gate; there is no need to exchange tickets.
Michigan-Western Illinois Schedule
Game 1 -- Friday, March 22, 11 a.m.
Game 2 -- Saturday, March 23, 11 a.m. (7 innings)
Game 3 -- Saturday, March 23, 30 minutes after Game 2 (9 innings*)
* Will become 7 innings if Game 2 goes extra innings
