Graduate Manager

Patrick Beilein enters his second season as the graduate manager for the Michigan men's basketball program. Primarily, Beilein will be the director of the managerial program as well as assisting the overall basketball program in the day-to-day operations. In addition to his office work with the program, he will be pursuing a master's degree at the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies.

Before coming to Ann Arbor, Beilein spent two years playing professional basketball in Europe. He played with Landstede Zwolle in Holland in 2006 and with UCD Marian in Ireland in 2007-08. Before his professional career, Beilein played four years at West Virginia under his father and current U-M coach John Beilein. Known for his long-range shooting, on-court vision and passing as well as his defensive instincts, Beilein played in 128 career games primarily coming off the bench.

He closed his career with 1,001 career points and ranks second all-time in career three-point field goals with 242, just the third player to surpass 200 in a career. In addition, Beilein, who was a captain during his senior season, holds the West Virginia record for three-point field goal attempts with 675 and is 10th all-time in three-point field goal percentage at 35.9 percent.

Beilein graduated with a degree in athletic coaching education in 2006 from West Virginia. He resides in Ann Arbor, Mich.
