Statement from Michigan Head Coach John Beilein

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan head men's basketball coach John Beilein issued the following statement regarding sophomore guard Manny Harris' (Detroit, Mich./Redford) playing status:

"After a thorough review of the play which resulted in a called flagrant foul against Manny Harris and his subsequent ejection from our game at Purdue this past Saturday, I am sure that it was unintentional and consequently merits no further action.

"Prior to this season, in over 800 games as a head college basketball coach I cannot recall a single player of ours ejected from a game for committing a flagrant foul. My staff and I have always worked diligently to teach our players to play the game with the utmost respect for our opponents and for the rules of the game, and we will continue to do so moving forward."
