ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's basketball head coach John Beilein announced today (Thursday, Feb. 5) the dates for the first U-M Father/Son Basketball Camp on Friday and Saturday, June 5-6.
The Father/Son Camp is an overnight camp that will provide a unique bonding experience for each father-and-son team as they are taught the proper techniques of shooting and passing the basketball. They will also learn ball-handling drills and enjoy shooting competitions while interacting with selected U-M players and the U-M coaching staff.
The camp includes housing for two, two camp T-shirts, a Friday night pizza party as well as breakfast and lunch for two on Saturday. Cost for pre-registered campers will be $225. A registration cost of $250 will occur after June 1 or on site. Registration and check-in begins on Friday at 5 p.m. All campers will be dismissed at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
In addition to the Father/Son Camp, Beilein previously announced the dates for U-M's 2009 Team Camps. The Beilein Shootout Team Camp will be held on Saturday, June 13, and the Wolverine Overnight Team Camp will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28.
