Big Ten Announces Breakdown for 2015 Conference Schedule

ROSEMONT, Ill. -- The University of Michigan men's and women's basketball programs, in conjunction with the Big Ten Conference, announced a breakdown of their opponents for the 2015 conference schedule on Friday afternoon (Feb. 28).

Next year for both the men and the women, the 14 Big Ten teams will compete in an 18-game conference schedule, playing five teams both home and away and eight teams once. Each team will play four of its single-play opponents at home and four on the road.

The Michigan men's team will have five designated home-and-home series with Illinois, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State and Rutgers. The remaining single game home appearances will be Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin. U-M will travel to Indiana, Maryland, Penn State and Purdue for its single game road contests.

The U-M women's team will play Illinois, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State and Rutgers twice next season. The Wolverines will host Indiana, Maryland, Penn State and Purdue, while hitting the road for games at Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin.

Dates, times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
