ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's basketball program continues play in the National Invitation Tournament by hosting Oklahoma Monday (March 22) at Crisler Arena. The Wolverines (19-11) will take on the Sooners (20-10), the Maize and Blue's second straight Big 12 Conference opponent, in a 9 p.m. game broadcast on ESPN2.

The Wolverines advanced to the second round with a 65-64 victory over Missouri Tuesday (March 16) at Crisler Arena. The Sooners defeated LSU 70-61 Wednesday (March 17) in its first-round contest at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla.

Ticket prices are $15 for lower level, $10 and $5 (endzone) for upper level, and $5 for students and are available for purchase online at MgoBlue.com or at the Michigan Ticket Office. For any further ticket information, call 734-764-0247.

Michigan and Oklahoma have only met once on the hardwood in the all-time series. The Wolverines took a 91-80 victory in the championship game of the 1988 Maui Classic (Nov. 27). In that same season, the Maize and Blue went on to win the program's first national championship.

The Wolverines are making their eighth NIT appearances in the program's history. U-M won the title in 1984 behind Tim McCormick's Most Valuable Player performance. The Wolverines also took home the 1997 title, but the University vacated the 1997 tournament appearance due to NCAA sanctions.

The Michigan-Oklahoma winner will face the winner of the Hawaii vs. Nebraska/Niagara second-round game. Third-round site, day and time will be determined by the NIT, with quarterfinal dates ranging from March 24-26.
