The Bartelstein Blog: Entry 27 -- Huge Day, Lots of Thanks and Tiger Blood

March 18, 2011

Sophomore guard Josh Bartelstein will give an inside look all season at the 2010-11 version of the Wolverines.

What's up everyone?

What a day!

What a win!

I don't even really know to start. We just had such a great team effort out there against Tennessee and had so much fun in the process. From Zack (Novak) hitting three after three; to Matt (Vogrich) taking over the game; to Stu (Douglass) dunking on someone. Not a bad afternoon of basketball.

Our fans have been great so far in Charlotte. From leaving the hotel with the band playing the fight song and even arriving at the stadium with the sirens from the police escort blaring wherever we go the Maize and Blue following has been special. I even had a couple fans yell at me as I ran onto the court today saying "today may be the best blog ever" and they were right on. Shout out to them!

Tomorrow is a new day which means we need to refocus and get ready for Duke. We will watch a ton of film have a short 90 minute practice and rest up for what should be a great game Sunday afternoon. I hear Ann Arbor is buzzing over the game and we can't wait to get out there and represent Michigan.

I have to give one huge shout out to our band. Coach Beilein says they are the best in the country and I have to agree. They are always creating great energy for the team and we appreciate all they do.

One quick story about number zero. He is a really, really big fan of Charlie Sheen and his favorite TV show is Two and a Half Men. So when we ran onto the court and saw a picture of Novak with the writing Novak has tiger blood I knew it would make his day. Sure enough the poster is hanging up in our hotel room right now and will make the trip back to Ann Arbor with us. So, whoever made that - THANKS!

I will try and write again tomorrow until then enjoy the madness of March!
