Led by Burke, U-M advanced to its first Sweet Sixteen in 19 years (1994) after wins over No. 13 seed South Dakota State (71-56) and No. 5 seed VCU (78-53) at the Auburn Hills Regional played at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
