Seniors Horton, Hunter Going to Portsmouth Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's basketball seniors Daniel Horton (Cedar Hill, Texas/Cedar Hill HS) and Chris Hunter (Gary, Ind./West Side HS) are among the 64 invited players who will participate in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, Wednesday through Saturday (April 5-8) at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Va.

Horton and Hunter will be teammates on Sales Systems Limited, which will be coached by Leo Anthony and Mac Carroll. Other members on team include: Eastern Michigan's John Bowler, Bradley's Marcellus Sommerville, Washington's Jamaal Williams, North Carolina's David Noel, Siena's Antoine Jordan and Bryant's John Williams.

It is the 54th year for the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, where eight teams made up of eight invited players will play 11 games over the four-day period in front of more than 200 NBA representatives. It is the only postseason event prior to the NBA's Pre-Draft Camp at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex from June 6-10 in Orlando, Fla.

The NBA Draft takes place at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Wednesday, June 28, and will be televised on ESPN beginning at 7 p.m.
