ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's basketball program has announced alterations for the dates of the 2007 Michigan Basketball School. The revised summer camp schedule will remain at two sessions, with the first session Sunday through Wednesday, June 24-27, and the second session Sunday through Wednesday, July 29-Aug. 1.
In addition, a one-day team camp has been scheduled for high school-age programs on Friday, June 29.
Newly hired head coach John Beilein and his staff will conduct each camp session for both residential and commuter players. The camp, designed for boys ages 8-18, will focus on each player's individual skill development. The cost for the camps is $400 for residential (overnight) campers and $340 for commuters. Prices include meals for all campers and housing for residential campers.
Campers can expect a typical day to start with roll call at their designated location, followed by station work and games prior to a lunch break. Following the lunch break, guest speakers will address the entire came before team practices and additional station work begin in the afternoon. Following the dinner break, the daily night games will begin prior to the evening session ending around 9 p.m.
For the all-day team camp, high school programs will play pool play games at Crisler Arena. Teams have the possibility of playing as many as four games. Cost for the team camp is to be determined.
