Trey Burke was selected as the No. 9 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, before he was traded to the Utah Jazz for their two first-round selections (Shabazz Muhammad, 14th, and Gorgui Dieng, 21st). Overall, Burke is the 11th overall Wolverine taken in the top 10 of the NBA Draft.

Tim Hardaway Jr. was selected as the No. 24 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks. His selection gave U-M two first-round selections for the first time in 19 years.

• Michigan has had 53 NBA Draft selections.

• Five Wolverines have been chosen in the top five.

• Two No. 1 overall picks -- 1966 (Cazzie Russell, New York Knicks), 1993 (Chris Webber*, Orlando Magic).

• Twenty-one Wolverines selected in the first round.

• Multiple first-round selections on three occasions: 2013 Trey Burke, 9th; Tim Hardaway Jr.; 24th); 1990 (Rumeal Robinson, 10th; Loy Vaught, 13th; Terry Mills, 16th) and 1994 (Juwan Howard, 5th; Jalen Rose, 13th).

Trey Burke's selection gives U-M 11 selections in the top 10.

Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr. are the first two U-M players chosen in the first round since 1994, when Juwan Howard was taken fifth overall by the Washington Bullets and Jalen Rose was picked 13th by the Denver Nuggets.

Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr. were U-M's 13th and 14th players to leave early for the NBA Draft.

Tim Hardaway Jr. follows his father, Tim Sr., as a first-round selections of the NBA Draft. Tim Sr. (UTEP) was selected with the 14th overall pick in 1989 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors. There have been 56 father/son combinations in the NBA.

Michigan Draft Day Trades

• June 19, 1984: Tim McCormick was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round (12th pick) of the 1984 NBA Draft. He was traded by the Cleveland Cavs with Cliff Robinson to the Washington Bullets for Melvin Turpin. McCormick was then traded again by Washington with Ricky Sobers to the Seattle Supersonics for Gus Williams.

• June 28, 1988: Gary Grant was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics in the first round (15th pick) of the 1988 NBA Draft. He was then traded by Seattle with a 1989 first-round draft pick (Kenny Payne) to the Los Angeles Clippers for Michael Cage.

• June 30, 1993: Chris Webber was drafted by the Orlando Magic in the first round (first pick) of the 1993 NBA Draft. He was then traded by Orlando to the Golden State Warriors for Anfernee Hardaway, a 1996 first-round draft pick (Todd Fuller), a 1998 first-round draft pick (Vince Carter) and a 2000 first-round draft pick (Mike Miller).

• June 30, 1993: Eric Riley was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the second round (33rd pick) of the 1993 NBA Draft. He was then traded by Dallas to the Houston Rockets for Popeye Jones.

• June 24, 1998: Robert Traylor was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the first round (sixth pick) of the 1998 NBA Draft. He was then traded by Dallas to the Milwaukee Bucks for Pat Garrity and Dirk Nowitzki.

• June 28, 2000: Jamal Crawford was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round (eighth pick) of the 2000 NBA Draft. He was then traded by Cleveland with cash to the Chicago Bulls for Chris Mihm.

• June 27, 2013: Trey Burke was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round (ninth pick) of the 2013 NBA Draft. He was then traded by Minnesota to the Utah Jazz for two first-round selections (Shabazz Muhammad, 14th; Gorgui Dieng, 21st).
