Seven Former Wolverines to Participate in NBA Summer League

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Seven former University of Michigan men's basketball players will be among those playing in the Samsung NBA Summer League competing throughout the month of July at the Southwest Airlines Orlando Summer League, July 5-11, and Samsung Las Vegas Summer League, July 11-21.

Former Wolverine Darius Morris (San Antonio Spurs), NBA sophomores Trey Burke (Utah Jazz) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (New York Knicks), along with NBA rookies Nik Stauskas (Sacramento Kings), Glenn Robinson III and Jordan Morgan (Minnesota Timberwolves) will play in Las Vegas, while Mitch McGary (Oklahoma City Thunder) will be the lone Wolverine playing in the Orlando league.

The Southwest Airlines Orlando Summer League, hosted by the Orlando Magic, will feature 10 NBA franchises and 25 games played over the seven-day span at the Magic's practice court at the Amway Center. Each team will play in five games, with the championship coming on the final day of play. McGary will begin his professional career on Saturday, July 5, when the Oklahoma City Thunder take on the Memphis Grizzlies at 5 p.m.

Burke, Hardaway, Morris, Stauskas, Robinson and Morgan will all play at the Samsung NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Nev., which features 24 NBA clubs playing 67 games over an 11-day schedule, beginning Friday, July 11. All games will be played at either the Thomas & Mack Center or the COX Pavilion.

Hardaway's New York Knicks will get the action started playing in the first matchup of the summer against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, July 11, at 4 p.m. Later that evening, it will be a battle of former Wolverines as Stauskas' Sacramento Kings will face off with Morris and the San Antonio Spurs at 10 p.m.

The remaining three players in the Vegas league will see their first summer action on Saturday, July 12, as Robinson and Morgan's Minnesota Timberwolves club faces the Dallas Mavericks at 7:30 p.m. and Burke's Utah Jazz play the Philadelphia 76ers at 10:30 p.m.

All 92 games on the Summer League slate can be seen on NBA TV, and 38 events will be broadcast live, including the Southwest Airlines Orlando League's title game on Friday, July 11 and the Samsung Las Vegas League's championship matchup on Monday, July 21.

In addition, fans will have the option to watch every game live on the NBA Summer League app through a subscription-based package.
