ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's basketball head coach John Beilein announced today (Friday, Sept. 13) the addition of walk-on freshman 6-5 guard Sean Lonergan (Fishers, Ind./Fishers HS) to the 2013-14 roster.

Lonergan is the third player to be added to the Wolverines roster after freshmen guards Andrew Dakich (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville Community HS) and Cole McConnell (Atherton, Calif./New Hampton School [N.H.]) were added as walk-ons in late June.

A two-year varsity letterwinner at Fishers High School, under coach Joe Leonard, Lonergan averaged 11.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game guiding the Tigers to a 15-7 record during his senior campaign. In 2013, he was named team captain and was named a Hoosier Crossroads Conference (HCC) All-Conference honorable mention, Indiana Academic All-State first team, Noblesville Times Hamilton All-County Team and The Bakers Life Fieldhouse Challenge All-Academic Team.
