Wolverines to Hold Open Practices and Fan Night
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's basketball team will open three preseason practices to the public. They will be held at Crisler Arena according to the following schedule:

   Friday, Oct. 19 3:30 p.m. Open Practice
   Friday, Oct. 26     3:30 p.m.    Open Practice
   Friday, Nov. 2 3:30 p.m. Open Practice and Fan Night

Doors will open at 3 p.m. for each open practice, and open seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Following the Nov. 2 practice, the Wolverines will host Michigan Fan Night, an opportunity for fans to meet the team for autographs and photographs.

The program will host its first Michigan Basketball Coaches Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 27. The one-day event will feature Detroit Pistons head coach Rick Carlisle and a Michigan Basketball practice. The clinic is open to coaches of all levels. Please call (734) 763-5504 for further information.

Michigan will open the 2001-02 season with a pair of exhibition games -- Sunday, Nov. 4, against the EA All-Stars and Sunday, Nov. 11, against Nike Elite. Both exhibition games will tip at 2 p.m. The regular-season opens Friday, Nov. 16, against Oakland at 7 p.m.
