ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's basketball team has announced several preseason activities for Wolverine fans prior to the start of the 2004-05 regular season.
After a week of practicing, the Wolverines will hold an open practice on Friday, Oct. 22, at Crisler Arena. The event is open to the public and free of charge. Fans are invited to watch the 2004-05 Wolverines practice from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Fans will get another look at the Wolverines with the annual Maize and Blue Scrimmage at Crisler Arena on Saturday, Oct. 30, beginning 30 minutes following the Michigan-Michigan State football game (3:30 p.m.) at the Big House. The event is open to the public and free of charge. After the intrasquad scrimmage, fans will be able to get autographs and photos with the U-M players.
The Wolverines will open their exhibition season when they host Michigan Tech Sunday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. The exhibition game marks the second straight season U-M will open the exhibition season against the Huskies. U-M will then play its second and final exhibition contest against Wayne State Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m.
U-M will open its regular-season schedule by hosting Binghamton in the first round of the preseason NIT on Monday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m.
