ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan Athletic Ticket Department has announced that 2006-07 men's basketball season single-game tickets for exhibition games and the John Thompson Challenge will be available to the general public starting Tuesday (Oct. 24) at 8:30 a.m.
Fans will be able to purchase exhibition game tickets for Wayne State (Thursday, Nov. 2) and Michigan Tech (Sunday, Nov. 5) at $11 for blue seating and $8 for gold seating.
For the John Thompson Challenge (JTC), fans who purchase the first three games -- against Central Connecticut State (Friday, Nov. 10), Davidson (Saturday, Nov. 11) and Eastern Michigan (Sunday, Nov. 12) -- will receive complimentary tickets for the finale against Wisconsin-Milwaukee (Wednesday, Nov. 15). Prices for all JTC games will be $22 for blue seating and $10 for gold seating.
Starting Wednesday, Nov. 1, the U-M Athletic Ticket Department will begin sales for the remaining non-conference games and three different ticket package options: the Big Ticket Pack, the Big Ten pack, and the Family Pack. Sales will also begin at 8:30 a.m.
Fans will be able to purchase lower level blue seating at $22 per seat and upper level gold seating at $10 per seat for all remaining non-conference games, with the exception of Georgetown (Saturday, Dec. 30). For the Wolverines' game against the Hoyas, fans will be able to purchase lower level blue seating at $22 per seat and upper level gold seating at $15 per seat.
The Big Ticket Pack is a five-game package in the upper level gold seating for $75. Games featured in this exclusive pack include Georgetown, Illinois (Wednesday, Jan. 3), Indiana (Saturday, Feb. 17), Michigan State (Tuesday or Wednesday, Feb. 27 or 28) and Ohio State (Saturday, March 3).
For the Big Ten Conference season, U-M will offer an eight-game Big Ten Pack in the upper level gold seating for $118.
Subject to availability, single-game tickets for Big Ten games will not go on sale until Dec. 12, 2006. No public sale of tickets for the Michigan/Michigan State game will occur, but that game is included in the Big Ticket and Big Ten packs.
The Family Pack is offered for the games against Wofford (Saturday, Dec. 2), Delaware State (Saturday, Dec. 9), Northern Illinois (Saturday, Dec. 16), Army (Thursday, Dec. 28) and Georgetown. With this pack, fans must purchase a minimum of four upper-level gold tickets at $10 apiece. For each ticket purchased, fans will receive a coupon for a complimentary drink and hot dog.
