ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's basketball team was listed seventh in the 2013-14 Associated Press Preseason poll announced today (Thursday, Oct. 31). The Wolverines were listed ninth by the ESPN/USA Today preseason poll earlier in the month.

U-M is one of four Big Ten schools ranked in the early AP poll joining Michigan State (No. 2), Ohio State (No. 11) and Wisconsin (No. 20), while Indiana and Iowa received votes. Three of Michigan's non-conference opponents are ranked in the preseason top 25 -- Duke (No. 4), Arizona (No. 6) and VCU (No. 14).

With its pair of top-10 rankings this season, Michigan has been listed in both preseason top 25 polls the last three seasons, coming in 18th in 2011-12 and fifth in 2012-13.
