With his personal best four blocks against Binghamton, Brent Petway set a new Michigan NIT Preseason record in blocks. The record was previously held by Robert Traylor (1996-98) who set the mark twice in the 1995 Preseason NIT with three blocks against Arizona and Weber State.

Dion Harris set a U-M Preseason NIT record in free-throw percentage with a perfect 6-for-6 (1.000 percentage) from the charity stripe. Michigan's Louis Bullock (1996-99) previously held the Maize-and-Blue best with a7-for-8 (87.5 percentage) performance against Arizona (Nov. 22, 1995).
With his one block to contribute to Michigan's eight total against Binghamton, Dion Harris matched a career best in blocks. The sophomore has reached this mark three other times.
