Aloha everyone!

It's 6:30 in the morning and I've had enough sleep.

I'd bet most of the team is up right now just waiting to get on that bus and head on over to play Duke. These are the types of games we all dream of playing, the reason we chose the University of Michigan: to play in headline games on ESPN.

Yesterday was a great day. I can't tell you how impressed I was with Trey (Burke). He really showed everyone he is as tough as they come and competed with another really good point guard for all 40 minutes. Trey is going to be a key for us all year and I have a feeling his confidence is going to just keep getting higher and higher.

Another two guys who deserve a ton of credit are Evan (Smotrycz) and Matt (Vogrich). Everyone knows they can really shoot, but what stuck out yesterday was their ability to impact the game even when their three ball isn't going in.

Matt was huge in taking charges and really changing the game because Memphis didn't want to go in the lane anymore. Evan was gigantic on the glass and you guys should all be able to notice how much of a difference that extra weight has made. This is a huge step for both of them.

Time to move on from Memphis, now we have another very difficult test today. We already started preparing for Duke last night and it will continue this morning. There is only so much you can do in 24 hours, but our coaches will do it all. No one is better in preparation in the country.

I know everyone is talking about last year's NCAA game. It's a new year, a new team and a new focus. Do we think about it, yes. However we need to make sure we stick to what we want to do this season.

Lastly, even though we are in Maui, fantasy football still is a topic of discussion. My team had a huge win over Zack (Novak) and now I'm just a game out of the playoff picture. All year I said just wait for my team to get healthy and now we are making our run.

Make sure you watch our game today on ESPN at 7 p.m. and let's hear what you guys think at askjbart20@gmail.com.

Maybe the best comments will receive tickets to an upcoming game again!
